This True Flight Topic concerns itself with the future of true flight, or flight using wings as propulsion devises...like the birds, bats and fish. Absurd, I know, but this is how it all began. Man's quest to fly like other species has not been fulfilled. The post will concern itself with using moving wings as propulsion, not motors, flapping devises, or jets. This is pure and simple flight using skill to take the glide into a resonant motion of lifting, falling for speed and then supporting the CG until lifted to a higher plane by the inertia gained from a short fall. Consider the surfer and you'll realize the effect. Naturally, the surfer is riding on the inertial motion of the moving wave, but if you have two moving wings which can increase and decrease their surface area, you can obtain inertial energy in a short fall.
