off topic...electric cars

I am thinking about building an electric car, nothing fancy. Lead acid batters fork lift motor and controller. or maybe make a small light weight car using motorcycle wheels and a brushless motor. Does anyone out there have any experience in this direction? Would love to share some info. I have built several small racecars. Even put a Mazda 12a rotary motor in an Austin Healy bug eye sprite. terry
