Model Airplane News, p51 build from free plans

Postby Saucerguy on Fri Mar 28, 2008 9:08 pm

I bought the magazine for the free plans, after reviewing them several times, I finally started to build her. This took a great deal of scratch building skills to get it this far. Originally it was set up for sheeting pretty much the whole plane, it was supposed to come in at 5 pounds, I'll get it down to 1 since I'm using stringers instead.

It's getting close to covering, all of the control surfaces are set in place, not glued up yet, just so you guys don't pannick along covering it. Needless to say, this has been quite the project, it's also turning out to be a very strong platform. I took photo's of the plans so you can see what I had to start with. The cowl and wing are removable. Wingspan is 37.5". Photo's aren't uploading for some reason here, so I guess that's going to be it on this one.
