Hangar 9 Piper Pawnee

Postby Vamooska on Thu May 22, 2008 4:13 pm

Well, I just finished flying my new Hangar 9 Pawnee for the second time. Its an electric with......a functioning spray system! I completed the booms and spray system On Monday night and she does spray. I will post photos of the airplane and the tips and tricks I used.
Power Specs:
Motor: Dualsky XM5050CA-8
Battery: Vampower Platinum 5s4500 25C/50C
ESC Phoenix 60
Prop APC 14X10 E

The plane weighs in at a fat 10lbs 2 oz with a full (16 oz.) spray reservoir. The booms only add about 4 oz total including the struts.
Here is a link to the ARF as offered http://www.hobbyzone.com/rc-planes-hang ... 40-arf.htm

I knew that I wanted to make this an actual spray plane and it was THE perfect airframe to do that. Very low wing loading. The power system delivers 1250 continuous watts for 122 WPP of power ratio. I have it setup on a 9C with flaps, differential ailerons, spray pump and a white strobe to set it off.
More later!
